Evening all,

Hope you all have been enjoying Green Week. Thank you so much to everyone who participated in Cycletricity on Tuesday (Energy Day). We had some outstanding performances with special mentions to the overall winners, Men's Rugby, and also to Cross Country, Athletics, Canoe and Boat for some fantastic cycling efforts! The buy-in from clubs was really warming to see and everyone seemed to have such a great time. What's more, Grounds was speechless when they picked up a fully charged electric van the following day - so a massive congratulations to everyone who took part :-)

Onto this week's Bulletins:
  1. Elections: Nominations open Monday 5th March. Please keep an eye on this link to the Saints Sport homepage for more elections info coming very soon. If you are thinking about running for AU President, we urge you to get in touch with myself BEFORE submitting your nomination in order to get a full briefing of  what the position entails.
  2. Design and Photography Officer: I would like to give a very warm welcome to Catriona Bennet, who will be filling in the position of Design and Photography Officer. Catriona may be contacted through the original email: design@saints-sport.com.
  3. Fitness/S&C/Speed and AgilityDo you want to improve your club's performance? Would you like to take it to the next level? Or do you want to prevent injuries and make everyone in your club stronger and fitter? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you are IN! We are here for you whether you are after S&C sessions or speed training, circuits or fitness. Give Juraj a shout at js878@st-andrews.ac.uk and he and the team will do their best to help you improve!
  4. Class GiftClass Gift is a fourth year project aimed at giving back to the University. We are fundraising for both a scholarship and redevelopment of the Union or Sports Centre as decided by a student vote. Actually, the vote will take place next Monday and Tuesday in front of the library, so you should tell your team to vote for the Sports Centre!
  5. Jailbreak: 24th-25th March. 36 hours to get as far away from St Andrews without spending any money, take a photo, and send it back in to us! After the 36 hours you are welcome to head back here, go home for the rest of the mid-semester break or even take a nice holiday where you end up! This type of event is held at universities across Britain with people getting as far away as Las Vegas, New York, Australia, New Zealand and Kuala Lumpur! What's more, along with the fantastic prizes for the winners, we will also be giving away prizes for the best sports related team. So if you want to do your teams proud, get tribal, and sign up and you could win the prize for best Sports representative. If you are interested in signing up or want more info, check out the link in the sub heading or email race2@st-andrews.ac.uk.
  6. 'The Ball': 24/05/2012 - keep.the.date.free!
Right folks, that's all for another week. Have a fantastic weekend and see you all soon :-)

With muchos Saints Sport love,

Andrew
