I hope you are all having a good week, and not too busy with deadlines. There is quite a bit to get through this week so please make sure you circulate it all to your members.
Club Captains Forum:
The first Club Captains Forum will take place today (Thursday) in the Buchanan Lecture Theatre from 6-7.30.
International Volunteer Projects:
Interested in spending your summer coaching in Zambia or South Africa? Saints Sport is hosting an information night for their International Volunteer Projects on Monday 20th October at 17:30 in the Sport Centre Clubroom where previous students will share experiences of the projects and you will be able to ask any questions that you may have.
Elaine Mason will be on holiday the week beginning 27/10. All transport bookings for that week and the week after must be in as soon as possible to allow her to process them all before she goes.
Most of you have received your playing kit by now. Your feedback is very important to us so please take a few minutes to fill in the form and let us know your thoughts. Please circulate it around your members as well and encourage them to feed any comments back. The form will be available until next Friday (24th October)
First Aid Course:
This has been confirmed for Saturday 25th October, 09:30 to 16:30, Agnes Blackadder Hall, £35 per person. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a space.
Will be available to reserve from tomorrow. Each club can reserve up to 40 wristbands, which cost £2 each, and will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. Collection will be from 13:00 to 17:00 on Tuesday 21st October.
Saints Sport News:
You should have all received the first issue of Saints Sport News this week, which I hope you agree looks fantastic! Every week we will be reporting on the results of the weeks and publicising all the great work you're doing. To this end, please send us pictures of you in action that we can include via Facebook, Twitter (@SaintsSport) or email (email@example.com)
We are looking for budding camera men and women to help us film fixtures and events for our new youtube channel. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any interest.
Next week I will be in the Main Bar of the Union from 9.30-11.30 on Tuesday morning. If you have anything you would like to chat about, please stop by.
Student Activities Fund:
Applications are still open for the Student Activities Fund which clubs and societies can apply to receive a financial grant for either a specific project or to cover some expenses. More information and the application form can be found at www.st-andrews.ac.uk/develop-2/student-activities/
Instant Impact Competition:
Want to win £2000 for your club? All you have to do is submit a video which answers the question 'Why is your society the best representation of your University?' The closing date for entries is 31st October, more information can be found at http://www.iicompetitions.com/
That's all for this week. If you're taking part in Raisin Weekend, have fun and be safe. Keep an eye on https://www.facebook.com/standrewsraisin2014?fref=ts for all the latest information from the Union.
