Lots and lots of exciting info for you this week so do read on and please pass on important bits of info to all club members:
1) Strip The Willow volunteers & participants
We also really need volunteers for counting the number of participants (otherwise it can't be validated!), as such I am hoping that each club can put forward one or two volunteers each to help with this. Please can you get those individuals to email Elsa at email@example.com stating which club they're from (so we're not chasing you) - volunteers will only be needed for a few hours on the day and it will be SO much fun! Please help!
2) AU President Elections
Please make sure you have passed the following link around all committee members. Nominations open on Monday and close at 12pm on Friday 1st March. There is also a nominations launch party on Sunday night - link to the event is below. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.

3) The Vengaboys are coming to the Last Sinners Sport of the Year!!! - Wednesday 13th March
This isn't a joke, the Vengabus IS coming to St Andrews. Could we be any keener?! I honestly don't think so.
Right ticket sales are next Wednesday 12-5pm in the sports centre and tickets will be £10 each (they're coming from Amsterdam after all and you'd be quite made to miss them). You can give your money to a friend if you want - we just want email addresses next week and then bands will be released at a later date.
The facebook event should be up later this evening so keep your eyes peeled for that!
4) Handover/AGM Session - Tuesday 26th Feb
Just a reminder that on Tuesday 26th February there will be a Club Excellence session regarding AGMs and Handover procedures. Clubs are encouraged to attend for some information and examples of best practice for ensuring that there is a smooth transition from one committee to the next. The session will be held in School 1 in St. Salvator’s Quad from 6pm on Tuesday 26th February. Any questions can be directed to Student Sport Development Manager, Pete Burgon, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
5) Club Results Publicity
Doing well in your league? Won SSS? Improving on last year's performance? We want to know how well your teams are doing in competitions! Send a short paragraph and a photo to email@example.com so we can report on your club's successes!
6) Club Footage and Photographs Wanted
If your club has any footage or photographs from competitions this year, please send them to firstname.lastname@example.org to be part of a short film which will be shown at the Blues and Colours ball and Hall of Fame induction evening. We're specifically looking for media from tours, competitions or outreach events.
7) Academic Flexibility
Please all remember that there is a procedure for requesting time off academia to represent the university within your chosen sport. All applications must be sent to Debby Sargent by email@example.com at least 14 days before the competition. Please note that if it is a team competition then each individual must still fill out the form and send it over to Debby. We cannot endorse missed classes if you do not follow this procedure.
8) Seven Day Policy for Booking Transport
Please make sure that you read the email that was sent out earlier this week about the 7 day policy that we really are now going to properly enforce.
9) External members meeting - Tomorrow 22nd Feb at 2pm in the Clubroom
Those of you that we know have external members which haven't paid AU membership yet have already been asked to come to a meeting tomorrow at 2pm in the Club room. If any other clubs have members that are yet to pay then please can you also come along then.
10) East Fife Sports Council Annual Awards 2013
Please find attached nomination information for the East Fife Sports Council Annual Awards Ceremony. The Awards Ceremony is designed to recognise the achievements of sportspeople in our community during the year to 31st January 2013 Clubs or individuals are invited to make nominations for these awards. It would be great for some of you to put nominations in!
