I hope you are all recovered from Wednesday night and getting ready to watch Canada take on Great Britain in the curling final of Sochi 2014! There are quite a few notifications this week so as always please pass along relevant information to committee members and club members,
1) Essential Drainage Works at Agnes Blackadder and Andrew Melville Car Park Friday 21st February to Monday 24th February Inclusive
The car park at Agnes Blackadder has slot drains that need cleaned of silt to prevent flooding. The car park closure this weekend will mean that cars and vans/minibuses parked at the Agnes Blackadder side will have to move to the Andrew Melville side which will be open for parking. Please do not park on the Agnes Blackadder side during that time and remove your car/van/minibus in good time for the works to commence. Please make sure to park on the Melville side.
2) AGM Support
If you have any questions or concerns relating to your club AGM, which should be held before the Spring vacation, please first have a look at the PowerPoint presentation on the CMP available here http://cmp.saints-sport.com/general-info/forms-and-files .If you still have any issues, please don’t hesitate to contact either Pete or Jess in the AU Office.
3) Club Development Meetings
In lieu of formal club development meetings this semester, please contact Pete in the AU Office on email@example.com if you want to discuss any club issues. Once new committees are in place in April, each club will be expected to attend a club development meeting with incoming and outgoing committees in attendance. In the meantime, please feel free to contact Pete directly to book some time in his diary.
4) Green Week Cycletricity - Thursday, March 13th - 10am - 16:00pm
After the HUGE success of last year's event we couldn't really think of anything better of celebrating Green Week than reliving it all again! Which club's the most powerful?? Get training because the all important day is Thursday March 13th. 5) Saints Sport Summer Internships
Saints Sport is proud to be able to offer two 4 week internships in Marketing and Publicity and Event Management Boyd Quaich golf tournament this coming summer to run from June 16th to July 11th. 6) Green SportsClub Award - March 31st deadline
Applications deadline for Green Sports Club Award has been extended to 31st March. The criteria is fairly simple; your club must have undertaken some kind of environmentally friendly project, activity or event during the course of academic year 2013/14. To register your team contact firstname.lastname@example.org
7) Save the Date - May 22nd: Sports Ball will be taking place on 22nd May with an afterparty at Liquid in Dundee with the opportunity of buying just afterparty tickets being available. Please let your club members know so that if they want to come they don't book early transport home for summer.

As per usual Exec. minutes from last week are attached. There was not Exec. meeting held this week
9) AU President Elections - Nominations open Mon. Feb. 24th and close 5pm Feb. 26th
Attached are a copy of the job description and person specification along with the election rules. Please not that to be allowed to stand for the position you must have been a committee member of one of the AU's constituent clubs or a member of the Athletic Union Executive and be in good standing with the AU and the University.
