I hope fresher's week is treating you well. Thank you all for running your Give It A Go sessions so effectively yesterday - the day was a great success and it looks like your sessions were all pretty busy. I also hope that those of you that made it to The Games last night had a good time.
On to this week's items..
1) Sports Fayre
Please all be here by 10am to set up your stands. Bring charged laptops (though we will have some extension leads) and also plenty of change. The sports centre reception will need to use their own change for sports centre memberships.
2) Membership procedure
You will now be recruiting as many new members to your clubs as possible. Shortly your club will have to submit a record of those active paid-up members, please keep this list separate to your mailing list of any student expressing an interest in your activity. Your club MUST declare any non-student member of your club at the earliest opportunity as permission must be sought from the AU Executive Committee for them to join your club. Because clubs are run with resources provided for the development of student sport, clubs must be able to justify any non-student members. These individuals will then be required to pay membership for access to the facility, any club membership fee plus a £50 membership fee to the Athletic Union. Please contact the AU Secretary with any membership enquiries - email@example.com
3) Club Excellence Programme
The remaining sessions of the Club Excellence Programme will be delivered on Monday and Tuesday of next week. Please ensure your club is represented at every meeting and don’t hesitate to contact Pete, the Student Sport Development Manager, (firstname.lastname@example.org) for any further information or support throughout the year.
4) Driving Tests
Please make sure you come and sign up for driving tests (18th and 25th September). You need to bring both parts of your license to the AU office. Those needing to re-register as AU drivers also need to pop by with both parts of their license.
5) Saints Sport Newsletter
We will be starting a Saints Sport newsletter at the end of this month. This will be sent round all the clubs, around the university and hopefully around the whole student body. Please all make an effort to get articles sent in to Kirstie (email@example.com)
throughout the month so that she can compile a great newsletter. Articles can also be put up on our website throughout the month.
6) Budget Management Seminar
Tuesday September 18th at 19:30 in the seminar room. This is a repeat of the Budget Management Workshop for those who were unable to attend on Monday.
7) Academic flexibility
I have attached a revised academic flexibility form from Debby. This will be put up on the CMP in due course.
8) AU Exec Minutes
Please find the minutes attached from our first Exec meeting on Monday. These will be released to you on a weekly basis and they will all be uploaded on to the CMP.
I look forward to seeing you all at the fayre - the best of luck with getting lots of new members.
