Saints Sport Bulletin - 05/09/2013

Hi All,

I hope those of you that have come back for pre-season have had a great time and that you are prepared for the madness of Freshers week! There are quite a few messages this week so please take the time to read through them all. 

1) Pre-Season Training Social - Fri. Sept 6th 7:30-9pm 
There will be pre-season training social Friday night at the Union Main Bar with food being served from 7:15pm - 9pm. Tickets for the food (burgers, potato salad and salad) can be collected at the door as you arrive. There will be several speeches commencing at 8:15pm so please make sure you and your club have arrived before that time! Please can you also make sure that you pass this message along to all those who attended pre-season. 

2) THE GAMES tickets
Sinner's Sport presents The Games next Wednesday night at the Union! Tickets for the first Sinners event can be purchased from our Vice-President Gino, vicepresident@saints-sport.com for £6 (its going to be well worth the money!)Please email to confirm your numbers. He will be collecting money between Tuesday, Sept. 10th 3-5pm at the Union. 

3) Publicise your Club
Here are some helpful go to hints for publicizing your club throughout Freshers Week! This week is the best opportunity to publicise how amazing each of your clubs are and to get new members. As always are Communications officer, Lexy design@saints-sport.com is happy to answer any questions you may have.

4) Club Excellence Programme 
A reminder that the Club Excellence programme kicks off on Monday 9th September, as outlined on the attached spreadsheet. For most of the sessions, it is obvious who should attend but if you’re in any doubt please ask.  It is expected that all clubs will benefit from attending all sessions.  The Fixtures Training session is relevant for clubs who compete in one-off individual championships, team championships, leagues, cups – any competitive activity, therefore just about every club.  Any questions can be directed to Pete Burgon on clubdevelopment@saints-sport.com.

The Captains meeting will take place Mon. 9th Sept. in School 1 in St. Salvator's Quad. Please note that this is compulsory for all clubs. 

5) Saints Saturday Reminder - Sat. Sept. 14th
The Sports Fayre will take place from 11am-5pm. The sports hall plan has now been done - you all just need to turn up at 10am on the day to set up your stands. Please make sure you are there on time. We will have extension leads but please make sure you all bring fully charged laptops as well. 

6) Saints Wednesday/Give It A Go Day - Wednesday 12th Sept
Please make sure that you are all at your locations in advance of your meeting times so that you can set up and meet any first years which arrive early. 

Lots of information I know....glad we got to the of that email! Please make sure you all make the most of promoting your clubs and what Saints Sport has to offer!
