Saints Sport Bulletin - 04/10/2013

Hi All,

I hope it's been a successful start to the season for you all! It has certainly been nice having the students back and participating. There are several important items on the list this week so please read through them all. 

1) Driving Tests - Oct. 7th and 8th
Due to the high demand for driving tests there are additional tests that have been arranged for Oct. 7th and 8th. Please could you remind your members to come by the AU office with their full license to book their space!

2) Kukri Kit and Orders 
Leisure wear such as hoodies,trackies,polos and shorts can be purchased at the University Retail Shop at a 45% discount for students on the retail price! Your members will now have the opportunity to go into the shop try on clothing and purchase it straight away! Large orders for leisure wear should be directed to Jennifer Dillon,  and playing kit order should in the first instance be coordinated with myself. Jen will be available in the shop Tuesday - Friday of next week if you have any questions. 

3) Transport Overspend Deadline - Fri. Oct. 4th 
Those of you with overspend from last year are to have paid by 5pm today! Those that fail pay these overspends are in jeopardy of having transportation funds frozen. 

4) Membership Lists 
These lists are to be sent to by Mon. Oct. 7. Clubs that fail to submit a list by Monday risk having training sessions cancelled! 

5) Exec. Office Hours 
Each of the Exec. have set office hours, this will give you the opportunity to come in with any questions you may have. These are as follows
VIce-President - Monday 11am-1pm
Secretary - Monday 11am-1pm
Treasurer - Tuesday 9am-11am
Communications - Monday 11am-1pm
Alumni - Monday 11am-1pm

6) Saints Sport Staff Roles

 Following a slight restructure of staff roles within Saints Sport, Gary Brankin is now the Outreach and Volunteering contact for the Athletic Union clubs.  Any enquiries should be directed to Gary in the first instance on


7) AU Camera

If you are looking to borrow an AU camera, please use the appropriate form on the CMP - - with at least three days’ notice to ensure your request can be processed.

8) Car insurance
The university have changed insurance company if you have an accident and make a claim the excess will be £500 which your club will be liable for.

As always please keep us informed of all the great work that you are getting up to over the next couple of weeks it is shaping up to be a fantastic season.
